This is the first of three volumes containing a compilation of the Tightwad Gazette, a publication that lasted only three or four years, but was full of practical wisdom on the art of thrift. There are a lot of nitty-gritty ways to save money, but a great deal of it focuses getting a mindset of frugality: making the best use of the resources available to you, be it how to spend less money, or using and reusing the things you have.
