My daughter has always used abeka curriculum. Last year she began having a lot of trouble in spelling, so this year I decided to change spelling books and chose Bob Jones. I have been very happy. All the lists consist of root word bases and then continue adding suffixes for that same word...this method has caused her to see root words and then be able to spell the words more easily. This textbook has been a huge blessing.

This Spelling Program is very well set out. You can divide it into a week of activities to learn the words. The units are in a set of five units, then a review unit. It also allows you to add a couple words of your own choice. This year spends a lot of time covering Suffixes and Prefixes from Greek and Latin. It also allows your student to see some the the King's English and how it is used in scripture. It has a journal entry to have them put into writing some of their thoughts.
