Sonlight Core 400

With a solid foundation of world and American history, high school seniors in Core 400 turn to American government, looking at it from an historical and philosophical perspective. At this point more than ever students are taught to wrestle with tough questions, and to apply their knowledge to real life, real faith, and real convictions.

The main text is Basic American Government, and is supplemented by volumes such as Never Before in History and Godless Constitution. Fiction is mostly classic American literature, and covers everything from The Adventure of Huckleberry Finn to Moby Dick to The Scarlet Letter. Biographies and a Bible program round out the year.

Please Note: Sonlight Curriculum does not sell their materials to Exodus Books. We carry many of the same titles, and are often able to obtain used copies of books they publish. The following is culled from their 2013 website and includes most of their selection, though it is not comprehensive, nor is it in any sort of curricular order. For a complete listing, visit the Sonlight Curriculum website.
