Read Aloud Revival Booklist

We first heard about Sarah MacKenzie's blog in the summer of 2015, when our summer reading challenge was mentioned on her podcast (The Readaloud Revival). Since I'm a cheapskate and already drowning in literature resources, I decided not to pursue a membership on her site, but I signed up for her emails and have stalked her site and listened to occasional podcasts ever since.

Sarah, a Catholic home schooling mom of six, is a special gal. Author of Teaching from Rest, and a warm and vivacious host on her podcast, she has a mission to help families build their family culture around books. And her enthusiasm is contagious! The vibrancy of community on her site, the explosive growth of her email list and the incredible engagement level on her Facebook page all serve as evidence. Her site and podcast was also frequently mentioned as a favorite home school resource on our 2016 customer survey.

Early in 2015, Sarah and her team released their first-ever Read Aloud Revival booklist. Focused on including only books that are awesome read-alouds, the booklist is fairly short, but full of old favorites and a few new books and series we'd never heard of before. We received permission to duplicate what we carried on her list, but she presents her booklist so charmingly, you'll probably still want to sign up for the list from her site as well.
