These 27 lessons move through major Medieval history themes as they incrementally teach all nine IEW models of structure and elements of style. Easy-to-follow instructions and checklists are included for two levels of students: elementary (4th-6th grade) and junior high. In addition, a Teacher Tips section provides helpful hints, sample whiteboards, and review games to help teachers reinforce the concepts taught. Vocabulary cards (with great pictures to help kids remember definitions), quizzes and games are also included. 144 pages plus 64 vocabulary cards (these are printed on eight blue card-stock pages and bound into the book, not pre-cut and separate).
In the 4th edition, some new source texts have been added, and checklists have been updated. The order in which the structural units is presented has been changed to reflect the order in TWSS (i.e., Units 1–9 in order).
