May Yonge McNeer Ward (1902-1994) was an American journalist and author of a variety of subjects, many of which were illustrated by her husband, Lynd Ward. In 1975, she and Ward were jointly awarded the Regina Medal, a literary award conferred annually by the U.S.-based Catholic Library Association. It recognizes one living person for "continued, distinguished contribution to children's literature".
