John Taylor Gatto

John Taylor Gatto was a public schoolteacher in New York City's public schools for over 30 years and is a recipient of the New York City Teacher of the Year award and New York State Teacher of the Year. A much sought-after speaker on education throughout North America, his books include the widely acclaimed best-seller Dumbing Us Down as well as A Different Kind of Teacher and The Underground History of American Education.
