The books in this section are usually hardcover and in decent condition, though we'll sometimes offer hard-to-find books in lesser condition at a reduced price. Though we often put images of the book with their original dust jackets, the copies here won't always (or even often) have them. If that is important to you, please call ahead or say so in the order comments!

The Hinge of Fate is the fourth volume of The Second World War. Winston Churchill tells of the Allied reversals in 1942: the Japanese successes in Asia, Rommel's drive in the desert, the German march into Russia, and the shattering naval losses in the Atlantic. This volume goes on to describe the change in Allied fortunes with the victories in the South Pacific and Libya, the Nazi reversal at Stalingrad, and, finally, the planning of the invasion of Sicily, Italy and France.
