Douglas Jones

Jones received an M.A. in philosophy from the University of Southern California and an M.F.A. in creative writing from the University of Idaho. He taught at both the University of Idaho and Lewis-Clark State College before becoming the editorial director at Canon Press, a senior editor of Credenda/Agenda magazine, and a member of the Board of Trustees at New Saint Andrews College, where he teaches both philosophy and literature. The author of several children's books, such as Huguenot Garden and Scottish Seas, Jones is a regular contributor to more theological and cultural works, co-authoring, for instance, Angels in the Architecture. Penning "Just Wood" Jones gained more distinction by being included in the Best Christian Writing 2004 anthology, and then "University Cafe," a short play, earned a finalist award at the 2005 Theatre Publicus Prize for Dramatic Literature. Also known for his quirky sense of humor, Jones made Sourdoughs: A Trilogy of Short Films. Versatile and creative, Jones lives in Potlatch, Idaho.
