Benjamin Appel

Benjamin Appel was born in New York City. He attended Lafayette College and Columbia University. After college he traveled widely all over the United States and Mexico, the history of which has always fascinated him. He has written numerous adult novels, including The Raw Edge, besides magazine articles and short stories. Several of these have been included in the O'Brien and O. Henry collections. During and after World War II, he traveled on government missions to the Phillipine Islands, Japan, and China. He made his home in Roosevelt, New Jersy with his wife and three daughters.
