After hearing (and really liking!) a first album from a new artist, I'm always a little hesitant to listen to another, fearing a let down. But when I first heard Warm Strangers, Vienna's second album, my fears were relieved. She's done it again! In this CD, she adds more stringed instruments to the mix, making for a couple of very lovely songs, like "Anna Rose." She makes a bit more use of percussion in a catchy "Hope on Fire." And she dares singing a cappella in "Passage," which she pulls off beautifully.
Vienna's albums would not be classified as Christian music—I listen to them mostly for their musical beauty and variety, and there she shines! There is nothing I find offensive in her lyrics, but some of them might seem questionable to the very conservative.
