Sonlight Core W

This level rolls Core G and Core H into a one-year course. If you've completed Core G and Core H, there's no need to do this one, but it might be a good choice for families wanting to transition into Sonlight from another program. 13 and 14 year olds are the ideal target group; after completing this program, they'll be ready for the high school levels of Sonlight, starting with the more intensive Core 100.

A Child's History of the WorldAugustus Caesar's World and The World of Columbus and Sons by Genevieve Foster; and The Usborne History of the 20th Century are the foundational texts. Kids will also be exposed to authors like Rosemary Sutcliff, Brother Andrew, and Norton Juster, as well books like "But Don't All Religions Lead to God?" and Live Like a Jesus Freak, which continue the project of helping kids shape a consistent, biblical worldview.

Please Note: Sonlight Curriculum does not sell their materials to Exodus Books. We carry many of the same titles, and are often able to obtain used copies of books they publish. The following is culled from their 2011 website and includes much of their selection, though it is not comprehensive, nor is it in any sort of curricular order. For a complete listing, visit the Sonlight Curriculum website.
