At this level, students spend time learning about poetry, tall tales, folk tales, and preparing oral presentations and speeches. Like the prior level, it also uses four books as literary sources, but it shifts its emphasis to more writing, reducing the number of cut-and-paste activities. Additional enrichment pages found only in the student book dip into research skills, analogies, and logic.
