This course continues the study of the parts of speech, capitalization, word choice, and punctuation. It also expands a student’s exposure to writing by having him write different types of sentences, letters, paragraphs, outlines, and book reports. In addition, students are taught how to use a dictionary, thesaurus, and encyclopedia. Sentence diagramming is included in this course.
