The Firmly Planted Family Study Guide is designed with the whole family in mind. Psalm 1:3 says "Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord; he is like a tree, firmly planted by streams of water who yields its fruit in due season and whose leaf does not wither. Whatever he does prospers." This is the second book in a series designed to take you through the whole bible. The Family Study Guide can be accompanied by the Firmly Planted Workbook for additional activities.
Book 2 covers Genesis 37 to Numbers 14. Part 2 of the "Books of Moses" covers 10 weeks of study that is meant to be used either individually, or in a group like a Sunday School. 2 new exciting features have been added within the Daily Studies.
"Digging Deeper" is targeted towards older students (Middle School or High School) and explores the text from a more technical yet attainable level. It may have challenging questions or show how this passage connects with the context the passage is in. When possible, it shows how the story connects with all of Scripture.
"Taste the Fruit" is the other new section that focuses on application. It answers the question "so what?"
Each week will contain the following:

The Seed: This is the 'big idea' or 'key concept' for the week. (Whenever possible this will always point towards Jesus as revealed and foreshadowed from Genesis to Revelation)

Planting the Seed: This is the scripture memorization component and might be a simplified 6-12 words for ages 4-11 and a longer 15-25 words for ages 12-18.

Watering the Seedling: This is the 5-6 minute lesson for families, co-ops, church small groups and other groups to read aloud together. It helps the seed concept 'germinate' for the student.

Daily Study: This is the daily devotion designed to be done with your family. It guides you and your family in a deeper exploration of what God is teaching us in each week's passage.
