Autumn! Our walnut tree and our neighbor's hazelnut tree dropped lots of nuts for us to pick up. Some of them actually tasted quite good!

What is nicer in the fall than a cup of warm, steaming tea?

Indoor activities...

Lucy got dishes and snacks for her birthday. The two went well together.

Fall is not just about spending time inside. We love to get out in the cooler air and enjoy the autumn weather!

Baby Patrick shared some of his early laughs with us!

And Esther enjoyed snuggles with Grandma.

In November Isaac and Lydia brought their girls up for a visit. We loved having them stay with us and enjoyed games, drinks, and breakfasts together. We got to spend some time with just the girls while their parents went here and there trying to see as many people as possible in four days. And of course there were the late night conversations we miss so much!

If I took a picture of every one of Esther's smiles, well, it wouldn't even be possible. But I have a whole hard drive of them saved up in my heart.
