Our Christmas celebrations began on Christmas Eve when we had my
family over for breakfast.
While we waited for the blueberry coffee cake to finish baking, we
exchanged presents.
After enjoying breakfast, drinking hot chocolate with Irish Cream,
and playing games, we bid my family farewell and headed into
Washington for a party at the Mahars. This included a white
elephant gift exchange, Christmas carols sung a bit creatively, and
a fun time of fellowship with friends and family.
We spent Christmas morning at the Evans home eating cinnamon bread
and opening a pile of presents. Our whirlwind Christmas ended
at my parents' house playing more games with our good friends the
Blackmans and the Paynes.
I don't know if you can count half an hour of slush falling from the
sky as a "White Christmas," but it did actually snow on Christmas
Day!
