Sunday morning, the day after the wedding, Eli and I drove up to Vancouver, B.C. and took the ferry down to Victoria. It was a lovely day during our ride through the islands, though, as you can see from my hair, it was a bit windy.

picture of the ferry that we were on, but ours
looked very similar.
I thought the wake trailing off into the distance
looked dramatic. |

There were
many beautiful islands that the ferry weaved in and
out of on the way to Victoria.
We had fun watching them go by, but it was so cold
and windy that we had to keep going back to our car
to get warm. |

Pictures of sunsets never do justice to the actual event.
There is a certain atmosphere when you are standing on a boat (freezing cold, but that doesn't matter),
newly married, watching the sun sink into the islands as you approach your honeymoon destination.
You just can't capture that in a picture, but we did our best. |
