Concentrates on what fifth graders need most—practice with "trouble maker" letters. Each week's lesson provides work on basic formation, correct pen grip, slant, size, and neatness. Then students are given the opportunity to employ their skills in creative writing and word studies. They complete a creative writing assignment one day each week, including a biweekly journal entry.
