Spencer Press did a special edition run of a few titles in the Landmark series. For the American books, they chose ten titles, numbered these 1-10, and published them as a matching set with green and black covers. (They also did this with eight World Landmark books, and published as a matching set with green and red covers.) The numbering does NOT match the original numbers issued by Random House.
This Set Includes:
- Voyages of Christopher Columbus
- Landing of the Pilgrims
- Paul Revere and the Minute Men
- OUr Independence and the Constitution
- Lewis and Clark Expedition
- Sante Fe Trail
- California Gold Rush
- Pony Express
- Building the First Transcontinental Railroad
- Panama Canal
These are formatted the same way, with same illustrations. The only other thing that really sets these apart from the Random House editions are the handsome and consistent end papers inside each book.
