Beatrix Potter is a cute cuddly children's book author, but even in the aww-factor, she touches on real yearnings and aspects of life in her day. Jemima Puddle-Duck's tale starts with her yearning to be a mother. I felt like the author was telling a real life story of a woman, who wants to be a mother, and even when people were trying to be helpful, they were getting in her way. There's also the prerequisite kids-level moral too. Its a cute kids story, but very poetic, and you just have to read it for yourself.
