Gospel for Children

Gospel for Children

by John B. Leuzarder
Publisher: Shepherd Press
Trade Paperback, 40 pages
Price: $9.99

This unusual book does something we sometimes take for granted: it methodically teaches the Gospel of Jesus Christ to young children and because it is simple it is a great teaching tool and reminder for adults. This is of no small importance because, as we learn from the first chapter of Romans, this Gospel is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes. It has a color picture for each major point and then has a page at the end with just the pictures as a memory device to help children recall these truths.

This book is very special, the kind of book parents will want to read to their children again and again. It presents the Gospel in a straightforward, uncomplicated manner — explaining the truths of God, the Bible, sin, Jesus, the need for repentance and faith, and counting the costs of the Christian life, but in a way that both children and even adults will easily benefit from. I highly recommend it, and I look forward to having it on our church book-table.
