Math 87 is a transition program for students who have completed Math 76, but are not ready to go on to pre-algebra. Basic mathematical skills are reviewed and reinforced, and concepts, procedures and vocabulary needed for upper-level math are introduced and developed incrementally. It includes the study of fractions, decimals, percents, and ratios; perimeter; circumference and volume; exponents; scientific notation; and signed numbers. (135 lessons)
There have been mixed reactions to this book: we would recommend using it in most cases, but you can very likely skip it if your student is quite bright in math (in which case it might move too slowly), and it's even more possible if you used 76 3rd edition.
This kit includes the student text and the Home Study Packet (answer key and tests).
