This delightful little book introduces young children to concepts from the Westminster Confession, an excellent introduction to Christian doctrine. It includes 71 questions covering "what man is to believe concerning God." Cartoon illustrations help to demonstrate the meaning of what is being taught, and help to keep a child's interest.

Please note that this is not the same as the Westminster Shorter Catechism, but is based on the same concepts. The questions here are more simply worded—so simple that most 2-3 year olds should be able to learn them!

I have fond memories of these catechisms, and I can still remember most of the answers to the questions that I memorized around age 8-12. Here is a good (and very inexpensive) tool for teaching important, biblical doctrines to your young ones.
Later, you can follow up with G. I. Williamson's "Westminster Shorter Catechism for Study Classes," with in-depth studies on very similar questions.
