One of the most popular series ever published for young Americans, the Childhood of Famous Americans series has been praised by parents, teachers, and librarians, and eagerly read by kids across the country. The series was first published from the 1940's through the 1960's. Over 170 were published, and although many of the original titles are now out-of-print (a few have been reprinted by Patria Press as the Young Patriots series), the series has continued through the years and is still going strong with a fresh look and 70 books available as of 2011.
