Although it is the job of the books contained here to explain what a "courtship" is and give you examples and ideas, we define it in a basic way as a God-honoring relationship that has a focus on marriage as its possible end, but which may or may not get there. We should be careful not to assume that a courting couple will definitely end up married—the courtship is successful if the relationship gives glory to God and helps to avoid serious heartache, whether or not the couple end up at the altar. There are different aspects of this that we believe set it apart from "worldly dating" and make it more biblical:
