Highly educated with a bachelor of science degree in education, a master's degree in political science, a doctor of arts degree in Christian leadership, and a doctor of philosophy degree in Christian thought, Vaughan is a pastor, lecturer, community leader, editor, and author. He pastors at the Liberty Christian Church in O'Fallon, Missour, serves as the director of Liberty Leadership Institute, and works as president of Liberty Classical School. Vaughan hosts the radio program Encounter and is an editor for the St. Louis Metro Voice and Highland Books. His published books include Give Me Liberty and The Pillars of Leadership. With his family, Vaughan continues to live and work in Missouri.
