Adventures of Tintin

These classic comic books have delighted readers everywhere for over 75 years (they are published in more than 90 languages!). Join traveling reporter Tintin and his faithful dog Snowy, along with well-known friends—such as Captain Haddock, Professor Calculus, and the Thomson & Thompson twins—as they embark on extraordinary adventures spanning historical and political events, fantasy and science-fiction adventures and thrilling mysteries all over the world and beyond. These full-color graphic novels broke new ground when they were first released and became the inspiration for countless modern-day comic artists.

These books are better known throughout the world than they are in the U.S., but in late 2011, a full-length live action/animated feature directed by Steven Spielberg and produced by Peter Jackson was released. We think they managed to capture much of the spirit of the books, but you'll still want to read the original stories.
