In the Christian Liberty Adventures in Phonics series students will learn phonetic principles to help them pronounce and read words and sentences. These principles are presented in a logical sequence to help students grasp them effectively. Consistent drills and repetition of the basic concepts will help insure comprehension. Some today would discard the need for phonics and replace it with the Look-Say method. This text reaffirms that the learning of phonics is fundamental for children to develop proper reading skills. The distinctions between sounds and their relation to each other in words are the basic building blocks of reading well. Much of this workbook is a reinforcement of the work introduced in the previous two workbooks, Adventures in Phonics Levels A and B, but at a more difficult level, this course finishes the formal study of phonics. It reviews sounds, blends, digraphs, and diphthongs. It also covers prefixes and suffixes, plurals, synonyms, antonyms, homonyms, apostrophe usage, syllables, and pronunciation.
