The cat walked through the world, with its whiskers, ears, and paws
Many different creatures observe a cat walking by, but the way they all see it is a little bit different! And yet... they're still all seeing a cat.
This is a little science lesson in a picture book. Parents can explain to young listeners why the different animals see the cat the way they do. No explanations are present in the text, unfortunately, but they should be fairly self-apparent, or can be found with a quick search. The charming illustrations by Brendan Wenzel rightly won him a 2017 Caldecott honor medal.
